Just a recap for you about the region project:
1. Homework component is for you to create on your own. You may solicit your team's imput, but you do not have to do this. It is completely yours!
- step one is to take notes on facts which will help you fulfill your particular assignment. This requires sorting through information you do not need, just as you will have to do for your state report.
- write the ideas in your own words. Do not copy directly from the handouts or books
- make sure you locate strong facts.--What are those??? Names, numbers, statistics, dates, specific events or details, proper nouns.....NO general facts--like crops. Need winter wheat.
- Work a little at a time every evening to complete your project by Thursday
- step two is preparing ideas to share with your group. What types of arguments do you think your team should present which would convince Trump to award your region the grant? How would your region use it? Look at what you've learned, think about what an entrepreneur might do with it, or what the current state of affairs is in your region, or how others might benefit....You must strive to think creatively, but grounded in needs, resources available currently, and possibilities given your region's location
- step three will be sharing these ideas with your group during class and preparing a persuasive argument to be.presented by Friday
Poetry continues through next week.

Sure, Livy! Costumes would be just fine!
so we can dress up and talk in funny voices.
Andrew
If you make sure you add to the presentation, Andrew, Yes. Don't distract from your points.....
When I type in my region the west, the only thing that will come up is some place in europe or the western united states. Is the western united states the one I'm looking for?
thanks,
ashley
Probably, Ashley. That is the trouble with internet research. You must be careful as you search. West region of the United States would be a good start for a google type search. We'll have some time Monday to view some videos individually which may contribute to your understanding of your region as well.
