This week, we have discussed and practiced the reading strategies: Predict and Infer, Decoding and Phonics, and Question and Clarifying.  The key to all of these techniques is to pay attention to the details--pretend you are an investigator.  What is the text telling you???  Look for the evidence in the text!

In the following text, find:

Three pieces of evidence that you could use to make a prediction.  

Find an appositive.

Find an unfamiliar word and decode it.
