Whew!  Terrible to be sick!  Sorry I missed everybody today.

  •  Ok, we've had 14+ hours in class (YES, REALLY!) to work on State Report.  You should have been working at home as well.  By TUESDAY,  you should have completed all 3 components.  We will assemble them into one document (you'll be glad to know that is easy), add transition sentence, and begin the introduction to the whole paper.
  • Tomorrow in class, you should make sure you are referring to the bullet points in your guidelines for each component.  Have you given the information it asks??
  • Make sure you are writing, writing, writing.  Your components' main idea will be tourism, commerce and industry, historical event, or natural resources.  This is your topic for that section.  Each paragraph MUST emphasize this topic as you explain what is available in your state.  THEN you can add the relevance of the facts.
  • If you have completed all three, use the time to proof read your paper.  You may check the new books and add to your facts.  You may also tell Mrs. Grogan you are done, and be a helper for those who are behind.
  • AGAIN, by Tuesday, beginning of class, you should have 3 pieces of work ready.

For my letter writers,  you should introduce you and your group, share what you've learned about their school and students, and ask the 3 most interesting questions your table had.  Here are your partners names, so that you know to whom you should address your letters:
